Kingdom Builders 2023

Kingdom Builders 2023

Welcome to Kingdom Builders 2023!

As we celebrate our 20th birthday this year at C3Belconnen, we are both looking forward and looking back. We are in awe of all God has done, and at the same time excited about all the future holds!

Kingdom Builders has been a key part of our journey – enabling us to take ground in the Belconnen town centre and establish a permanent presence in our community. All of this has been made possible by the vision and sacrifice of our Kingdom Builders – people who have given over-and-above out of their love for God’s house and vision to reach others. Our greatest delight has been seeing God work through so many lives in different ways.

Everyone has a part to play, no matter how big or small. We’ve achieved incredible things together not through equal giving but equal sacrifice. We invite you to listen to the stories and vision, pray and ask God to speak to you, and step out in faith with us. What a joy to be following Jesus together!

Partnering with you,

Ps Nick and Melissa

Kingdom Builders Vision 2023

It’s hard to believe we’ve been in our Rae St church home for over a decade! Over this time we’ve steadily developed our facility for growing numbers of people and ministries. Now our most used spaces need updating and upgrading so that we can continue to welcome our community throughout the week and the growing number of people who call C3 Belconnen their spiritual home. When rebuilding after our facility was badly damaged at the end of 2021 we made adjustments to increase our seating capacity by 10%, and also to provide a platform for further development if we can acquire more space in the near future. Our immediate next steps are to renovate our cafe space, establish an outdoor hospitality area near our main entry and update the exterior of the building to improve aesthetics/acoustics for us and the community around us.

Breakdown of distribution of Kingdom Builders giving

Joining us in 2023

We’ve achieved this before through individual pledges ranging from hundreds up to thousands of dollars over a year. Everyone has a part to play! Our basic facility costs are around $100,000 per annum and we expect to need at least $50,000 for updates. We’re also aiming to get ahead on the mortgage and prepare for other big steps in the future.

Our goal is to raise $200,000 together in this next year.

Becoming a Kingdom Builder

  1. Vision – Be inspired by stories of faith and vision as we move forwards together. We all have a part to play in God’s incredible plan for our community
  2. Pray – Seek God’s wisdom as you consider how to be involved. We’ll set aside time to fast and pray together – stirring up faith and believing for lives to be transformed.
  3. Plan – Consider how you can be involved to your full potential. Stretch but be reasonable. Plan how you will fulfil your pledge and give regularly so your commitment doesn’t become a burden
  4. Partner – We are in this together. The heart of Kingdom Builders is equal sacrifice, not equal giving – everyone has a part to play. Be encouraged as we step out in fath and celebrate together

Kingdom Builders Pledging

Giving can be a one-off contribution or smaller regular amounts. Pledge cards can be accessed virtually by clicking the link below, or during Sunday services.

Here more about our story over the years below

Stories from the journey

From the earliest days of meeting in school halls, lecture theatres and clubs, our dream was to have a permanent church home in the heart of the Belconnen community. Our first step was purchasing our ministry centre which became a hub for all activities outside of Sunday services. Then some years later we committed to our first long-term lease on Cohen St above Bing Lee, where we continued to grow in number and love for this region.

The first several years were all about getting set up, from a very basic start through multiple iterations of the spaces we now enjoy.

Hear the heart behind Kingdom Builders and our journey of Taking Ground as a church

An exciting development over the past few years has been the ability to enhance our spaces for use outside of weekend gatherings/services. Technology updates have made our spaces more versatile and accessible for a wider range of groups and we are excited to see more and more people connecting with our church community through groups, courses, events and other gatherings onsite.

Now our most used spaces need updating and upgrading so that we can continue to minister to the growing number of people who call C3 Belconnen their spiritual home. The church is not a building, but a space to gather, celebrate, grow and invite people into is central to our vision to create and multiply communities of faith in our region.

We are praying and believing for this to be possible in the not-too-distant future and in the meantime our focus is on improving our hospitality and outdoor spaces to keep up with demand.

Our next steps are to renovate our cafe space, establish an outdoor hospitality area near our main entry and update the exterior of the building to better manage aesthetics and acoustics for us and the community around us.
